“The concept is so easy. It’s not some $100,000 per year drug. It’s literally just baking soda.”

Cancer cells produce lactic acid and also thrive in an acidic environment. In my own practice, I found mild acidosis and low bicarbonate blood level is very common in cancer patients. An intervention is required. Clearly, much more effort is needed to develop a smart strategy to target acidic micro-environments for cancer treatments.

A high-alkaline diet can help fight and prevent cancer. Clinical research did prove that a diet high in alkaline foods like fruits and vegetables that also limits acidic foods, such as those from animal products, raises blood pH levels.

Currently I use baking soda in my clinic to achieve this goal. Patient acid-alkaline status is closely monitored by blood tests while they are taking baking soda.

One teaspoon of Baking Soda contains 4.8 g of sodium bicarbonate. The doses are 1/4 teaspoon, every day or four times a day. Maximal dose is one teaspoon a day.
